Nice shot Dig, when I saw “Vaughan” I wondered whether it had anything to do with this lot (NMP)

That is a very interesting photo, a line of Macks with a Commer on the end, because coincidentally, a Commer was Buntine’s first vehicle and he became a Mack enthusiast. Also his colours when in the Co-Ord cooperative in Alice Springs, were red and white, before entirely on his own he changed to green and white.

Nothing to do with the others PR2100. He started as an owner driver running Darwin for TNT then when they corned the supermarket work in the north of WA he built up a small fleet running mainly Volvos but eventually turned to Western Star and KW Cat powered ,his son is now taking the load although the have reduced the fleet somewhat.Very tidy operation.

David I.m thinking those" Macks "might be Bonneted Inters.

You could be right, knowing that they definitely weren’t Buntine’s, I didn’t give them a proper look. Now I see that there is a slight difference in the bonnet shape.

@Dig @Spardo, from what I can tell Vaughan’s Van Lines ran bonneted Macks very early on then later went to Internationals (lots of ACCOs) including R-series like this

One or two of Jenkinsons at Inverness, on the A9 Easter Ross and Fort William, must have quite a fleet.
