0Saw this at wimpole hall today, parked up ready for the Xmas fair.
Howard Brothers from Kirk Ireton, owners of the showmans engine ‘Renown’ and others. A recently deceased lad who I worked with drove their fair organ on an ERF chassis.

Hi coomsey, trying to figure out your photo, similar tipping gear to this 1950 Shelvoke and Drury, tho’ not dump tipping as such, chuck it in the back and roll tip forward I guess making space, on the other hand I may be barking up the wrong tree .

I’ve got to say that the shot of the Woodside Foden is “Pure Classic Paddy” from the early 1970’s. The Paddies didn’t ponce about they just got hold of a 40 ft box and stuck some running gear under it and some landing legs and “hey presto” they created a 40 ft box van structurally strong enough to bang any cargo into ( and they did) chock full and not fussy as to whether the light stuff was on the floor and the heavy gear piled on top !!
