We had some fitted into a few of our Haulmaster eight wheelers at Tilcon, I collected them from Jennings works. The backrest of the seats lifted out and the mattress dropped down across the doors, I think that the console on the engine cover had to be removed as well. They were ok as long as you didn’t need to get out of the cab in the night! :slight_smile:

Hi Andrew, I had a neighbour’60s/'70s who was a driver with MAT at Cowley Station yard Brian Wharton was his name T&GWU rep, your dad would have known him.

This is one my Dad drove when he worked at Tomlinsons

A couple of really nice blokes, the Tomlinsons, Gazsa. We were on the local RHA committee together along with a few other small Nottingham hauliers. :slight_smile:

No idea oily although I sailed under it twice on Northlink ferry Hjaltland circa 2003 and drove over the new Queens Crossing twice last week.
