1962 at Quilpie Queensland Leyland Super Hippo and behind that guessing International?, DIG will know.

Sorry to disappoint Oily but I.m not sure about the Inter I didn’t think that model was available until the late 60s and I.m afraid thats a Leyland Buffalo up front with possibly the big Albion motor under the bonnet, it would need it pulling body and 3 trailers.

Dig

The Buffalo came out in 1956 and was powered by the Leyland 0.900 engine producing 200 bhp. I dont know if later on a larger
engine was offered. At that time 200 bhp was a large engine and Leyland advertised the Buffalo as a “super powered truck” and
also used the word “punch” due to it being the first British truck to have a 200 bhp engine fitted apparently according to Leyland.

I have not checked to see if anything else was fitted with a larger engine in 1956 but in 1957 Rotinoffs fitted 250bhp and 335 bhp
Rolls Royce engines.

Thanks Dean I understand the Leyland 900 could be reliably supercharged to 270hp and I understand the manufacturers believed they could get to 300hp with no reliability problems which would have made the whole unit a very good match for the B model Macks and some of the american trucks powered by ■■■■■■■ but sales were low for the Buffalow only OZ South Africa and Israel being customers.
