You can get points for parking on double yellows so I’d imagine parking on the hard shoulder is seen as a similar offence.

Yellow lines too you tool…I know this for a fact from a freind who got done for it because the grumpy copper decided he had parked dangerously and was obstructing the flow of traffic on a busy road.
I’ve seen a scaffolders truck pulling off the hard shoulder with a guy climbing up the bank of the motorway at the same time. It was the end of the day & the bloke climbing the bank appearing to be carrying his personal stuff, so my assumption was that this guy was being dropped off home and knew a shortcut to his house off the motorway. I suspect this is a daily occurrence, so i won’t say where this happened! I don’t want a crew scaffolders tracking me down!

Yes because he was causing a obstruction. Bit different from simply parking on yellows of which isn’t endorsable on its own.
