Paranormal activity

I spent the first 24 years of my life in a house that my Grandfather (who died 6 years before I was born) walked around in! My mother used to chat with him in the kitchen and I could feel his presence but never actually saw him. My wife however did, she went downstairs into the kitchen one night to put some flowers in water that she had bought my mother and he was standing there, she came back upstairs like lightning!
My late uncle was in the Indian army and after he and my aunt passed away their house was sold to a young family. One day the woman asked her neighbour if she had known my uncle and was he a military chap because every teatime this man in army uniform walks from the kitchen through the living room and out of the closed door, he never speaks but the kids say hello to him and look forward to his daily tour. Good to know that there is life after death aint it? I could tell more true stories but it is nearly bedtime, sleep well.

Worked in a few places with ghosts. One was at a radio station years ago. I’d have to work on a Sunday morning, starting at 6am, so i’d be in for 5.30 to get the studio ready. The reception was always spooky especially at that time in the morning in winter when it was dark. I’d sit in the studio till it got light, then i’d sit in the main office and read the papers. many a time i’d hear the door from the office to reception squeak as it opened and then slam shut, i just assumed it was someone else in the building, so didn’t worry about it. Then they’d be the sound of someone jumping on the floor upstairs. Again thought it was one of the sales girls, so i’d go up to say hi, noone there so just thought they’d gone. the gents toilets were always freezing even when the radiator was on. Only found out i wasn’t alone when the breakfast presenters brought a medium in, and she pointed out that there were in fact 4 ghosts in the building. One, an old lady would walk through the office and into reception, hence the door opening and closing, and the jumping on the floor was a schoolgirl jumping off what used to be her bed, as the building was an old girls school. As for the gents, there was an old rogue in there and thats why it was so cold.
The other place was the fuelling depot at Luton Airport, saw it one night and it scared the crap out of me. The other bloke would go at 10pm, and i’d be there till midninght, so i’d sit in my car, then run into the locker room, get changed very speedily, and turn the lights off and run out the door. There is also a monk that is seen by a bridge near Corby. Many a driver has swerved to miss a person in the road and hit the bridge, others have driven through it at night, looked in their rear view mirrors and he’s sat in the car. Never believed it myself, but too many coppers and paramedics have seen it for it to be a myth

Its never been scientifically proven so I don’t believe in any of the old twoddle! All tricks of the mind etc. funny how it always happens to people who are on their own, in the dark, somewhere creepy (old buildings/wwII airfields). All that said though it doesn’t stop me ■■■■■■■■ myself at 2am up a unlit country lane locking our yard gates with nothing but the dim glow of the trailer lights to light the way.

People on their own eh? My father passed away many years ago and was cremated at Reading Crematorium. About a year later his brother also died and was cremated at the same place, I didnt go myself but wonder now if I would have seen what others saw. After the funeral service the family group were gathered outside and both my mother and brother spotted my father outside the building, he was six feet four tall and wearing his old suede coat so stood out in a crowd. My aunt then came across and asked mother if she had seen dad standing there, then a girl who used to lodge with my parents years before came across and said that she had seen dad there but when she went across to him he vanished! Four different folk saw him standing there, couldn’t all have been wrong?

An old friend of ours was a warder at Lancaster prison and whenever they got a ‘bolshy’ prisoner they would lock them in the old castle tower for a night. Next morning they would be petrified and shaking, our friend said that even when the room wasn’t occupied you could hear footsteps walking around in there but none of the prisoners would reveal what they saw to scare them so much!

It’s 4:00am, I’m parked up in the dark near Worcester having a 45 and reading through these stories. It’s pitch black and deadly silent, you could hear a pin drop. The ■■■■ who had this truck on days had left the cab phone on maximum ring volume. So I’m halfway through one of the stories when the phone suddenly starts ringing.

I proper ■■■■ myself.

I hope this helps.

It seems to some people that here here all Polish lorries will disintegrate at the road

There’s a stretch of the A45 called Knightlow Hill, between Coventry and Rugby. I grew up about a mile away, my dad always told me as a kid that it was haunted by a ghost lorry!

Three or four years ago I was biking down the hill one night and I noticed a big hole smashed thru a picket fence. I thought it was very odd as it’s on a straight section leading up the hill. A week or two later I read in the Rugby paper that a car had swerved and gone thru the fence, the driver said that a lorry had come down the hill on the wrong side of the dual carriageway then vanished.

It was only a small snippet of news but to me it was really weird to read. I would love to talk to the guy who was driving that car

I too have heard a few stories about that stretch . A young lad got killed just up the road from there a fortnight ago too .

Tell me more about this Luton airport ghost

And the video of the lift sec one classic

When I was 17 I was driving my Mini home around 2am along a quiet coast road, a motorbike light appeared in my mirror and he was sat right up my arse and would not overtake me, I thought it was a mate of mine having a laugh so I put my foot down, suddenly the bike appeared to lose control and went up in the air as it hit the grass verge on to the beach, my first thoughts were “Oh ■■■■! I hope he’s ok” and I turned the car back round to see. It was black dark, I walked on the beach with a torch to look for him, but could see nothing, I went to the local village copper, got him out of bed :unamused: and we went back to the scene… but again nothing, the copper said he must have been ok and driven off, but I knew that there had not been enough time for that, but there was nothing there, so we left, but I knew what I saw and could not understand it.
Anyway I told my gran about it the next day and she said Yeh it’s a bad part of the road that, it was the very bit where her friend’s son was killed on his motorbike the previous year…turned out it was the same date the previous year, and exactly the same time to the minute!! It scared the hell out of me.

I’m confused, are you agreeing with me?

Any more story’s ?

Quite a interesting topic

Legend Scania, what else do you want to know about the Luton Airport ghost? It is in the shell fuelling depot, which apparently was part of an old WW2 airfield. The supervisor was sat in the building one night about 10pm. Saw something out the corner of his eye, looked out the window and saw a bloke in a WW2 pilot uniform walking passed. He went outside to see who it was, thinking it’s a wind up, nobody about, and nowhere for anyone to get out through the fence

This is the best thread for ages   I absolutely believe in the paranormal and also believe that we all go to somewhere else when our days of sitting in cold waiting rooms comes to an end. I’d love to be able to ‘see dead people’ although I’d probably ■■■ myself and do a bit of a wee if I did haha. Keep the stories coming fellas

I used to work in Gloucester and live in Peterborough back in the 1980s.I commuted on a weekly basis.

One dark Friday night after a long and stressful working day I was driving my old Ford ■■■■■■ Mk II along the A47 between Leics and Peterborough when I came up behind a pair of flickering red oil lamps. I swung out to overtake and realised I was passing a stagecoach!

For months, I was convinced I had seen a ghost in the light of my 35w headlamps.

Then one day I passed the stagecoach in daylight on the same bit of road. It was a real one. I can only say that it looked like a ghost one in the dark.

I used to work for North Yorkshire highways and part of my daily job would be to go and collect tar at Skipton rock from Harrogate, one particular cold morning about (5.30am) i was driving to Skipton and just after the winding drops at Blubberhouses you go over a small bridge and then a sharp left hand bend before the long straight i hit (or thought i hit) a civilian wearing a brown coat and black trousers. Put it this way it was enough for me to slam all on and get out the cab with my torch to look for a body, my heart sank it was awful. On the initial impact there there was no noise or thud, which led me to believe id seen a ghost or was hallucinating. On return to Harrogate with my load it had now become light and i could see the long skid marks i had added to the surface earlier on. I still think about it 10 years on, it was surreal. If im completely honest i would still say im not a believer but do admit something weird happened that morning, im just glad there was no one following quite close or there would have been accident no doubt. Worst thing i did was tell my workmates back at the yard and was hammered for months thereafter.

here is one so hard to believe the most level headed man you could ever meet comining down the m 50 many years ago when if i can remember rightly the week before driver tanker erf hit a concrete bridge support . my wife went to work and one of the ladies working with here said jen can ihave a word with you hows your brother my son went tmansfield last night for a ride with him tip some goods on way back there was aalmighty flash i and it started chasing them my husband had the docter to him when he came in so she rang her mother and this was her words jen the docters here now he burst throo the front door dived in to bed with usscreaming he jacked is job there and then and to this day its affected him terrible but heres the bit which is eariehe reckons a face kept coming to him saying dont look back or they will get you he stopped on m4 to tell a copper and he told them they must be on drugs clever ■■■■ i know its hard to believe i dont know wat to think but if you stood by him and said about it he still goes to pieces wont go any where in dark i could say a lot more but its so wiered you wont believe me and the ather blokes same myself i have never seen anything thank god regards rowland

sorry couldnt make head nor tail of that

Neither could I,most things can be explained logically.
