The TC may be interested in you and depending WHY you have the ban may companies/agencies may not be willing to give you a look in
As the ban affects the whole licence so you will not be able to drive anything on the road not even as a learner
new driver i am insured on my own vehicle , wife bought car insured it under wrong registration mark online so when i was stopped i wasnt covered as there wasnt a policy in force for her vehicle, 6 points would revoke lience however got good grounds for special reasons to not recieve points but take the in endorsement and serve a ban upto 56 days

Cannot see that being a big issue for employers providing you state - new driver contested insurance cover issue - on your CV and in any verbal communications
what about the tc ? i do also have a previous tt99 on my lience from 2 years ago is that likely to impact ?

TT99 Disqualified for having more than 12 points in the “totting up” process
Deffo likely to have in impact
How come you get a disqualification under the new drivers rules if you got a totting up one 2 years ago?
that does not make sense because you must not be a driver currently with under 2 years
sorry for late reply been out had previously past test 6 years ago lience had been revoked after 18 months was unaware and stopped twice in a day , two no insurance got the totting up , saying that a friend of mine has 9 points and just got prov entitlement not even eyelid bat

the 2 year rule only lasts from the date of the test pass
TBH your driving record is not very good in the eyes of the law but if the TC does not call you in for a chat then you are good to go when licence is not suspended
Employers are very likely to take a dim view but if there is a driver shortage in your area then you might get a chance
thanks for your input , so i have provisional entitlement now for cat c
so when i go to court for my car offences and get spd do i inform tc or will dvla ?

DVLA will if they feel it is necessary
How many points and offences do you expect to have marked on your licence after the next court case ?
no points if plead special reasons and just IN endorement and fine
plus the tt 99 conviction from 2010
Never heard of no points special reasons normally just extenuating circumstances to keep licence after receiving points totting up for a ban

recieving 6 points would result in revoke of lience therefore i can claim special reasons / hardship , due to admitting offence but doing said offence without knowledge of doing so where i was lead to believe the was a policy of insurance on the offending vehicle
Ignorance is not a defence and can’t see them saying no points or everyone going to court could claim ignorance and no one would ever get points and hardship is when losing your licence would cause you severe difficulties ie had to have vehicle for hospital appointments or disabled children or live in countryside and had to take kids to school etc

sorry confused where does the ignorance part come in ?
my wife insured wrong vehicle the money was debited from our account
i checked the previous day before offence on motor insurance database and vehicle was covered ( however by former owner)
all paperwork bank statements and documents to back this up
i drive for a living so losing it under revoke would have an impact,
have a child under 6 months who was born gravely ill and even though better now needs regular hospital appointments
i would say thats exceptional hardship
It is ignorance because your claiming someone else’s fault and it is your responsibility to make sure you are legal no one else’s and I don’t see you not getting points I agree there’s hardship but that doesn’t mean you will get away with points and by sounds of it with your history that will be taken into account as they will see you have a chequered history of disregarding the law all I can say is good luck

History has nothing to do with it if someone murders a person gets jailed and released then is arrested on sus of murder a few years later does that make them guilty?
What more checks can i make vehicle was shown INSURED on motor insurance database , Funds had left account for such a policy !
In such cases, the court may find special reasons for not imposing a penalty. Examples include (but are not necessarily limited to):
a cancellation of an insurance policy by the insurer without telling the policy holder
faults attributable to an insurance company that has resulted in no policy being in force
a person being informed by the owner of a vehicle or policy holder that she can drive the vehicle legally
a person having a genuine reason to believe he or she is insured, even if the person is not
No history doesn’t make someone guilty but shows a court the sort of person they are when it comes to similar offences
