I’ve known people who have kept their licence because of the hardship caused if they lost it, they have been given the points but at the courts discretion not disqualified from driving.
In fact I seem to remember there was a case not too long ago where someone had over 40 points on their licence and was still allowed to drive
This idea of not being given the points is a new one on me, I’m not saying it doesn’t happen just that I haven’t heard of it before.

No history doesn’t make someone guilty but shows a court the sort of person they are when it comes to similar offences
am glad your not a magistrate
A successful application of special reasons in insurance cases allows the court to use its discretion to not impose the mandatory sentence, which is 6 — 8 penalty points or a disqualification. Having said that, the court will need to be satisfied that the special reason is directly connected with the offence, not just the accused person’s situation (so ‘I will lose my job if I lose my licence is not a special reason). It also needs to be something that the court should to take into consideration when sentencing.
All im gonna say is good luck because you are just going to try to blame someone else mid website does state that information can be wrong from time to time

True mid says that but bank statements dont lie an insurance policy for a vehicle with similar vrm doesnt lie with correct dates tied in,
Laying the blame elsewhere ? no i am fully admitting the offence pleading guilty but under circumstances that i believed i was insured at time
As far as I am aware the exceptional hardship ruling will only remove a single point from your licence, I know 3 people who had used this ruling and all have ended up with 11 penalty points instead of 12, I was in court when one of these sentences was handed down (in the public gallery as the accused was my sister, and she kept her licence as she is a vet nurse).

it can work in various ways where i could just walk away with a conditional disharge no points no offence on lience or could do opposite and get 8 points and top fine , all down to fate i suppose and how generous magistrates are feeling that day , worse case scenario is i get revoked have to pass car test again (easy) then re-apply and possibly have to go in front of the tc , will cross bridge if and when i come to it but thanks for all the comments and advice i will update when i have the decision
