This article doesn’t mention workers on the scaffold, so presumably there was no-one working on it at the time of the accident.

Absolutely! And what about the list of things we’ve done and got away with by the skin of our teeth !

Poor bloke bet he was already having a bad day trying to find his delivery, under pressure to get the job done etc and this just finished it off for him. No doubt someone whos never even sat in a lorry will tell him how much of a dangerous driver he is will then punish him to the full extent of the law.

I would have more sympathy if he had a 45 or curtain on. 40s don’t kick back much so he must have been very close to the scaffolding to do that. And it looks plenty big enough to screw round there. Driver error if ever I saw it. And they normally pull 45s too

No but some drivers cant go for a ■■■■ without checking there sat nav its still a daft place to u turn

it does look like a 45ft container…

On closer inspection it does look like a 45 (phones too small) but his wheels look tucked in the kerb. Poor judgment to turn that tight but forgivable as many would have turned there when the scaffolding wasn’t there. Still think you could turn without hitting the scaffolding
