Maybe one day, they’ll ALL be an agency driver?? :open_mouth:

They weren’t the only firm to have vehicles damaged today. It can happen to anyone when conditions are like that !

just watched the poor sod being interviewed on the local news, it turns out one of jenkinsons didnt realise the snow gates being closed meant dont go any further and turn round
So he decided to dodge round them by swapping carriageways and carrying on with his eastbound journey on the westbound side :open_mouth: poor Mr stobby had nowhere to go except down the ditch, the jenkinsons motor was parked half a mile down the road facing the wrong way on the westbound carriageway

funny part was he escaped through the sunroof and the local news man said he climbed out of his “emergency escape hatch”

Bewick, will you stop playing with the road signs!

ahh its having a lay down it must be tiring doing all those loads that keep britain ticking over !!!

That could have happened to anyone today , Some of these major trunk roads were a bloody joke , Together with idiot drivers on the wrong side of the carriageway even daft bus drivers with 34 passengers on the wrong side of the Felling bypass in Gateshead causing a 6 car smash.

Luke moonlighting again?

Just about to mention Luke, no disrespect to him, but when he goes in a ditch its a major catholic out pouring of grief on here. A stobart motor does the same and its time to snigger.

glad no one was seriously hurt, even knobarts drivers have families.

If you don’t know the road, the West bound (to City) side of the Felling bypass has a Bus lane and a Dual Carriageway, I travel this route every morning to work and at 06:50 this morning the road was fine, the sleet when I set off at 06:40 had stopped by the time I reached the bypass via the Motorway, again this was okay. At 07:00 when I had parked up at work it had started raining, more like drizzle, it seems this fine rain had began to freeze as it hit the roads, the Bus lane has very little Bus traffic at that hour and it seems the Double Decker hit Black ice and spun completely around to face the oncoming traffic and collided with several cars, its a Fifty limit but that doesn’t mean much as traffic in the outside lane generally travel around Sixty and nose to tail, hence the amount of cars involved, although I was told our lads (Fire Service) cut some drivers out there was luckily no deaths, one driver who got out of his car to help went straight onto his backside it was so icy on the Bus lane. However we were warned the night before (local weather) of this freezing rain effect on the roads, tomorrow is supposed to be the same! Franky.
