I also have read the allegations and have my own thoughts on it.
But I don’t share those thoughts on public forum.
Also the date on that page you’ve posted is 2years ago. A lot can change in that time so give the guy a break, he’s just trying to help out fellow professionals and maybe trying to right some wrongs.

thats the point though , most people do know and those that dont can do what you did and google flair but i do believe that anyone can change and also people can be incorrectly labelled with things and once labeled it is hard to proove yourself differantly.
i know from experience, from the outside it has looked like i havent worked for 16 years and i live off everyone elses taxes and i am a scrounger waste of space etc without knowing facts like i look after a very disabled child. people should not judge people they do not know especially on public forums.

I did both my C & CE with John, and have nothing but praise for the guy. Until January this year I hadn’t met him or heard anything about him, so whatever may or may not have gone on in the past doesn’t interest me. All I know is that I got on very well with him, had a really good time doing the training, he’s an easy person to get on with, and knows his stuff when it comes to training.
Whether that upsets anybody on here who prefer to have a go, I don’t know and I don’t really care. I judge people as I find them, and I like him.

exactly what i mean, you have met him and had a good experience therefore you are qualified to judge him/flair.
it is wrong to judge someone purely on what is said/or they fit into a category and i also will not do it. unfortunately i read an awful lot of comments where people are do judge people or judging a group of people ie the benefit scroungers.

I’ve had no dealings with John, but it is always important to remember that people can change.
Anyone can fail in business, learn important lessons and go on to run other businesses successfully, with happy customers. There are several on TruckNet (not newly registered posters with only one or two posts to their name) who have posted positively about their training with John. It seems wholly wrong to keep on trawling up past mistakes.

Just googled flair lgv and if you leave out the idea of presenting an accurate and balanced picture guess what looks like another scam flair lgv aka qualitas aka take your money and go bankrupt, but I had a real problem finding any links to actual complaints/convictions regarding Flair Training itself, so I thought I’d just post this half-arsed twaddle without doing any proper research.

If you don’t wish to completely blow your credibility on here, it’s probably best if you don’t.
A trainer has offered the kind chance to win free training and ends up with all this name bashing, why can’t people accept that the offer flair have made would cost the company a considerable cost and time and is a very generous chance for a new trainee, this does not sound like an iffy company to me,

to be fair , it was only one poster who has fetched this up (which does not make it ok), and i think the posters motives are questionable, i think i am right that everyone else (that has posted at least) does agree that this is a very generous offer indeed and many would bite his hand off.

a month before that i have posted here to report advantage to the police, and you, instead of helping, removed my post. Now u got a poor english guy possibly going to prison cos all u do just put ur heads in the sand

ohh nearly forgot. advantage got the right to form a new ltd on the name of specialist training limited. i have just received a letter about it as creditor… nice new chance to scam even more. will it stop ever? will u stop trust them ever?
do you have any records or proof of any scamms or cons or rip offs or complaints about flair hgv training which is the bussiness in question , it may be advertising/marketing but who cares it is still helping one lucky person out

actually chewyboy you are wrong in your above statement so that people do know the facts , he was only an employee of the last company and was made redundant so he started flair training after which qalitas or whatever it was called went bust.
i have yet to see any complaints made against flair training

My name is John Dawson. I am replying to the original report because while websites like this provide a valuable service the reader should know both sides of the story.
I started the company Qualitas Training Ltd in early 2004. We built a good reputation within the industry and in May 2006 we were approached by a a much larger company, Autosearch (Essex) Ltd who wanted to take us over.
At that time Autosearch traded under the name Sterling Training. They continued to do so and in fact traded under 2 different names, Sterling Training and Qualitas Training.
Qualitas Training Ltd was closed down and Autosearch (Essex) Ltd continued using the name from May 2006.
From that moment on I was employed by Autosearch primarily as a LGV trainer. This continued until October 2009 when I left the company along with many other instructors who were being made redundant due to a severe downturn in new course bookings.
I purchased a vehicle from them that they no longer needed with the intention of starting a new much smaller one man business as an LGV trainer. I called this new business Flair Training.
Since then Autosearch (essex) Ltd has gone into receivership. At no point in the past was I either a shareholder or director of the company. I was an employee only.
I completely refute the suggestion that I have sold training courses with no intention of fulfilling the training. Qualitas Training was a well run business up until the time it was taken over by Autosearch. The new business Flair Training has also been setup with the intention of providing value for money LGV courses. To date we have had no complaints from any customers.
It is easy enough to look up Autosearch (Essex) Ltd online at companies house and download a list of directors and shareholders. You will not find me on that list.
The story of Amraf Training is a long and complicated one but in brief it was an I.T training company started in 1987 that unfortunately went bust in late 2001 along with many other similar businesses shortly after the 9/11 event.

I was going to resist the temptation to reply but something made me, I doubt you have even bothered to read the history of Amraf/Qualitas/Sterling. It is extremely well documented on this board and freely available to all.
I dont particularly care if I am liked/disliked or not. I have had personal contact with many memebers of Trucknet for different reasons and am on the list of recommended training companies. So why do you think I bother? Probably the same as the other trainers on here that offer advice without seeking reward to people that need it. To be honest I do like replying to specific questions about aspects of passing the test. Ater 30 years there is little I dont know about that subject although I am always learning. Would you prefer I did not respond to thoses requests?
You have attempted to derail the point of the thread and again I dont care. On 27th of this month Ian Summers will again choose someone to visit us for a free training experience. Hopefully someone will benefit from this.
The point of being part of a community is to be part of it. Join in.
