Only class two!

LucyR:
It wasn’t the word, it was the tone…rules is rules…plus one of these days someone’ll work out that sticking a [zb] let’s people insert a far stronger word… :grimacing: :sunglasses:

What does [zb] actually stand for i know its there to replace naughty words but why the zb ■■

zzarbean was the first moderator - he just used the initials when he removed anything :exclamation:

Now thereby hangs a tale…

Once upon a time there was a guy called Ted who’s username was Zzarbean…who was, IMHO, the best mod this forum ever had. (In fact it’s along his lines that I try to do the job now).

When he took out the language he started putting his initials (zb) in place of the offending words to show what he’d done…

This has since become a TruckNet UK tradition…and has remained as a mark of respect to the man whom all those of us who follow in his footsteps attempt to emulate - sometimes more successfully than others!

He wasn’t actually the first, Rikki was…but he certainly was, and remains, the best.

Ted(Zzarbean) was the moderator /Site Admin who set the standard for all to follow…

It is his sense of fair play/Nouse… that we look for in new moderators…
The amazing success of these forums rests on the shoulders of our own ZB!!!

thanks for that alwys wondered what it meant

simon

is just testing, just testing the patience of other PROFESSIONAL DRIVERS out there, class 1 class 2, 7.5 t whats the true differance between the three 50p an hour perhaps. i hold class 2 and proud of the fact.have driven 7.5t since 1990 and c2 since june 2003 cost of training£600 and for what slower speeds more work and 50p an hour.would i change that no. and why because i get job satisfaction. would i drive artic no and why more hassle longer hours and nights away for what an extra 50p an hour.oh and i guess another£600 training.and to sum up what has each and every driver got in common?the ability to drive what he/she desires and to keep the country ticking…

  At last someone figured it out without spitting their dummy out   well most didnt really  Good on ya dude, and I agree with what you say 100% if I was in your shoes I would stay there too , but I am not so I will stay in class 1 , just my choice to drive artics
dear roy and little simon thanks for asking after me but you need not have worried because my working week is wens to sun and I have been working running a fridge up and down the country :unamused: also have alife outside of my computer
PS saying a ford ■■■■■■ is a load of complete and utter load of pony and trap isnt a personal attack its just stating a fact

And no I didnt ever drive one, passed class one in good old days before laws changed , when you paid for your own licence instead of holding your hands out and expecting grants etc. 13.04.96 to be exact, straight into a job

And I passed mine on 16/3/83, so does that make me better than you■■?
One word to sum up people like you JT, but I wont put it on here.

Class 1, Class 2, who cares, as long as the driver is happy, and the wages are in the bank on thursday

was that wind up or shot down■■?

seems like a bit of a climb down to me! but then I can be a bit cynical at times :unamused: :unamused: :unamused:

I find it more of a challenge now to drive a class 2 than a class 1… something about not being able to bend round corners
Like everyone else says, class 1 or 2, we are all truckers here.

“Cant we all just get along”.

climb down■■?   oh jimtimitity, ne petez pas plus haute que votre cue

Class 2 is harder to drive than class 1. So therefor, a class 2 driver is a better driver than a class 1 driver :smiling_imp: Simple fact eh?

Just because JT won’t touch a rigid doesn’t mean he’s better than us. It just proves he doesn’t like real work any more.

Real work■■? whats that then■■?

Oh year stand at the back of the truck and oiperate two levers and a hosepipe…I remember now!!!

cheers
STEVE.

maybe he is scared of hard work, not like the rest of us"just class two’s" actually can’t wait to get c1, for me the bigger the better… I LOVE DRIVING TRUCKS, ALL OF THEM, A WHEEL ON EACH CORNER AND ONE IN MY HANDS is all I need.

i believe no driver is better than the next whether a car driver or an artic driver, with respect to no driver being better only more experienced in the vehicle of their choice through the countles hours endured at the wheel.but then again does experience teach us anything?yes more bad habits, how many drivers believe they are better drivers or more experienced than the rest? take another test then say i am.think how many fighter pilots throughout the years thought the same way then ask them the same question after being shot down.no matter how much experience you think you have theres always room for error.

:unamused: dont really know where this "scared of hard work(zb) is coming from children, I have been in full time class 1 work since passing test, worked for 3 companys, none of this agency or oh poor little me I cant get/keep a job rubbish  and should I decide to change jobs I know I would BEABLE TO walk into a job tomorrow  but it wouldnt be driving a rigid :unamused: as that would be a come down for me and I dont really think I am alone in thinking that
driving a truck is easy compared to bringing up two little angels as a single parent believe me

language edit I know what that means too   mrs mix

only two jt not a prob. i have four children, two of whom have disabilities but unlike you i work p/t .because my children are more important than work.you say driving your truck is easier than bringing up two children as a single parent it would be for you as your not the one bringing up the kids if your working f/t. try being a parent and a driver and then come back and say its easier.life is more than just driving trucks…

Sorry hunter aint into points scoring :unamused: :unamused: I work full time to enable one to stay at boarding school get a decent education as her mother would have wished for and am lucky to have helpful inlaws who take care of my other daughter, I consider myself to be a parent and a driver and it is easier to be a driver I agree but I am still a good parent and at the end of the day I am only driving because it is a way of making decent money to afford my daughter a decent education, so unlike me she can make something of her life.
