Do you know,I am ashamed to be sharing this thread with you lot,all bloody Lee Marvins and Oliver Reeds, sup, sup, sup.
In the Isle of Man we conduct ourselves in a proper manner. I’ve been to the Queens for a social hour and come home like a good lad…what day is it?

Chris I thought you had the knowledge to know that you only sip a malt not sup it but that must be with living on foreign islands in exile. I used to be in trouble for calling for one as Brenda was a bit confused she was thinking in pints whereas I was talking about a gallon
cheers Johnnie

We could always go across with a tipper and make a “citizens arrest”,load the motor up with all those 2 bobs and half crowns oh! aye and not an inconsiderable number of sovreigns ! Handcuff Mr.W and sling him on the top of the load. What % of the outstanding tax would we be on then ? Anon1.

Seeing as the I O M is on the West side of the Country I will have to throw my lot in with the poor old underdog. We get sweet F A off the Welsh Assembly,so I will say good luck to anyone who can get out of the tax which only gets wasted on rubbish. If I could I would declare UDI for this area I certainly would .
Soapbox parked

They would get a very high profile BANKER to work the percentage out so you would end up paying them.

Our Chief Minister has buggered Milliband off,he’s talking out of his arse. We are as clean as a whistle over here and IF they should find any tax evaiders in the IOM in years to come then they will sure to be people living in the UK,more than likely MPs,police and high-up civil servants. As for poor old Mainland pensioners…yer ‘avvin’ a larf!
Mind you,I’ve secreted me neet out money away into t’Cayman Islands, just in case.
Anon Crown Dependent.
Well all my money is secretley stashed away in the safe hands of my wife, & I can get pocket money any time I like, hows that for money being safe I wonder ?.. Regards Larry.
You ol boys is lucky to have moey to stash away.We have to live off the fat of the land this way, which is lean and mean
.
Cheers Dave.
Dave the money which my financial adviser and management allows me to have is usually invested in commodities and with her not liking the said commodities I am sure it is quite safe and a good investment.

hiya,
Quite happy being skint, I don’t have worry where the next shilling is coming from,
as for investments I do a bit of that all my spare coin is taken care of by my local
hostelry, you can’t beat brewery shares you always get something back if it’s only
a hangover.

Hi, Ive just found this site and will log my father into it over the next few days - he is 83 now and drove for A E Jones in the 50s & 60
s
For sure he will be able to draft some stories.
i’m trying to save up for a nice bottle of single malt , but the wife keeps wasting our money on food and rent and other similar fripperies . i could throw myself on johnnies mercy , but he would hide the good stuff and get the bell’s out if he saw me coming , anon sober
