Dennis That was my first thought that you had deliberately searched your files to find the photo but what about his blood pressure and you know he will take all his medicine in one go straight from the bottle without measuring it out :exclamation:  :unamused:
cheers Johnnie

Look “H” instead of sitting on “your rear end” supping coffee in the canteen get that load sheeted and roped and get off down the road.Your beds “booked” at Brays and you’ve got a 6am booking in Sainsbury’s,Charlton in the morning. It’s only 9;30 so get your “finger out” and you could be in the Brown Bear or the Long Bar washed ,shaved and having a pint at 8pm to-night!!! I’ve fixed up a load of Newsprint from Convoys for Daily Mirror,Manchester so make sure you’ve got a Back Scotch on the trailer!!

hiya,
Always carried a sack of wedges, a pile of steel timbers, yes a back scotch drilled at each with ropes through, chains and tensioners “S” hooks for fastening two or more chains together for high loads of timber etc, be prepared didn’t only apply to boy scouts, a proper tramper, anything, anywhere was my motto, always made sure my ropes and sheets was in good nick and i used to have an old flysheet with which i’d cover the trailer bed when empty, too many times have been asked is you floor dry remembering most goods was put straight down on the floor never lucky enough to get get many forklift jobs, would have only got me soft and that would never do
thanks harry long retired.

Whats the betting “H” that if you were still as fit as a “butchers dog” you’d have that load sheeted and roped and be off in a shot “down the road”!! never mind if it was a Scania 81!!! The A5 next stop wey hey!! Cheers Dennis.

OK “H” you get it R& S’d and I’ll put me boiler suit on and swap the 81 for a 111,there’ll be hell to pay from some of the “star men” when I set a new starter off with a new 111!!! Then get out of the yard PDQ mate 'cause Webbo’s on his way to do this job but I’ve fixed him up with 5 drops of 'andball round Birmingham,so that’ll keep 'im quiet to-morrow!! I’ll load him back out of Darlaston for scotch as he has to back on the ferry on Thursday am.cheers Dennis.

Aye,they’d be handy for strapping 240 Patricoft straight 8s down in Flymaybe planes when it’s a bit windy.
Not as we get any wind ovver here, only hot air from North Lancs…over :grimacing:
