Once a year the Day Centre for the elderly put on a show and this year it was the Amazing Claude a hypnotist of wide repute who started of by saying “unlike most hypnotists I will not be inviting individuals on stage, I will hypnotise each and and everyone one of you in your seats” He produced a beautiful gold pocket watch and chain and said " I want you all to watch carefully" and began to gently swing the watch back and forth and in mellowed tone he said “You will now feel drowsy and drift away into a deep sleep and on my command you will wake again”
The chain broke and the watch smashed on the floor…Claude shouted s**t.
It took 3 days to clean up the Day Centre

I saw the first picture and thought I was in for a treat, but didn’t recognise a lot of those cars.
I have a Pommie mate who loves those CA Bedfords though, he’s restoring a rare (here) Series Land Rover with a Dormobile back. It needs to be finished in time for a trip we have planned, to Cooma next Easter, to celebrate Land Rover’s 75th.

Hiya,
Another thread started by our Dave the Renegade that’s started to fade away we did
get some good stories and some good laughs from it and no reason why those times
can’t return there’s still a few of us “old ■■■■■” about to give it a new lease of life and
not so old un’s are welcome to contribute if your tale is chuckleworthy post it.
thanks harry, long retired.

I will drink to that Harry,   Regards Larry.

It’s sad to see that this thread is heading towards Bulley’s Bar, :frowning: Dave The Renegade was a great contributor to Truck Net with over 44,000 posts.

R.I.P. Dave, gone but not forgotten.
