Yes Ang,   it depends which ones are worn, if its the bottom two or three, it is possible to take a sliver of bone and weld the joints together, it will cease pain and mobility will be good, just a slight restriction in certain type of bending, but advisable to change from heavy lifting. :unamused: :unamused: :unamused: :sunglasses: :sunglasses: :sunglasses: :sunglasses:     any other questions Ang :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue:

He’s probably a bit of a bone setter as well Dave.
Cheers Dave.

My daughter has a couple of malformed disc, she has been told by doctor she cannot keep having injections, better to have the operation,   Also one of my mates name of Alan, was in his late fifties and had his disc wear, he had the operation and was great, but was told not to do heavy lifting, but he never listen, and also kept jumping down from the lorry, this was in the eighties, he had no trouble for about 8/10 years, then his disc went further up his back, he was warned that they could do it again, but the danger was he could end up in a wheelchair, and he did! :frowning: :frowning: :frowning: :frowning: Two things he did wrong, one he never liked milk, which is very good for bones, and the other was not looking after his back when he got a second chance.

My youngest sister has had three operations on her back.Had discs removed and other surgery culminating with her having to give up a good job as head of department in a comprehensive school.
Once you suffer back trouble, its very rare to get it cured.

hiya,
Norm I wonder how many drivers ever alighted from the cab using the
steps provided, even when driving “lofty” tackle ie’ F88s and Crusaders
I always returned to terra firma via the “freefall” method ie’ I jumped
did anybody use the steps?? if they did I’ll bet their back’s are in better
nick than mine is now, only myself to blame I guess.
thanks harry, long retired.

i’m the same harry , bad back , bad knees etc , always jumped down from cab or trailer . those step rings were lethal if they were wet, if you had any , the fitters usually lobbed them , lazy sods said they caused the wheels to come loose . maybe you should have made the trailer lad put a step ladder up for you . cheers , dave
