Hey ■■■■■ - you from Throckla’ ?

Morning solly yes I.m from Throckley origanaly. Your not solly from what was advance foods greenside are you?

Hello there,I’m a little concerned about the recent posting of some of my photographs lifted from the Scrapbook memories thread,I havent any issues about anything I post on there being used on other threads but I do think its a bit rude to try to rub off the copyright watermark (Very badly) and stick them on this thread.I know my photos aren’t the best quality but its annoying to see somebody ruining a photo…to me its like painting a moustache on the Mona Lisa.If you desparately needed that photo why didnt you PM me,I would have given you it like I’ve done for dozens of others. From now on any North east lorries I put on the scrapbook will be really watermarked…you have spoilt it for everyone Mr ■■■■■.

You are totally in the right Bubbleman, I have seen your shots posted elsewhere but your copyright has been acknowleged. Please don’t penalise us too much
I’m sure an apology will be forthcoming. Regards Kevmac47.

I was looking for some gear in the garage & I found stuff I wasnt looking for, anyway I came accross this London Ex Plate, we used to do a lot of London runs some years ago, are these still a requirement I wonder ? Regards Larry.

Hi bubbleman please accept my apologies if i,ve offened you. I posted them onto this thread to give the lads on here a chance to view them with this being a north east thread. not everyone has the time to trawl over 300 pages on the scrapbook thread. As it took 10hrs to get upto page 160 and filter local stuff out of there i thought i was doing a good turn. like i say i,m sorry if this caused you upset there was no harm intended

regards Davie

hiya,
What did Ridley’s carry ■■, can’t have been much industry out in the sticks where they was based,
used to see loads of them up and down the A1 but never got to know any of the drivers, they did
seem to have plenty of motors and was they all vans??,can’t remember seeing any roped and sheeted
loads, but can’t remember 10 minutes ago, so they might have had them and I hadn’t noticed.
thanks harry long retired.

hiya,
Howay Ridleys haven’t been finished all that long, surely somebody must know
the above information after all I’m only curious, bet Larry knows.
thanks harry long retired.

Harry, they worked out of the paper mill at Fourstones, plus they did work for a sweety manufacturer down country, I new the, ir TM Bill Wallum a real nice bloke, I also new the owner Bill Handcock he was chairman of the Newcastle RHA for a while, I bought a bit of their gear at the auction when they packed in, Regards Larry.

hiya,
Thanks Larry I just knew that you would know the answer I don’t think any
of their drivers overnighted at Ma’ Green’s so never got the chance to pass
the time of day with any of their “pilots”, yes they seemed to bomb on a bit.
thanks harry long retired.

Ridley’s used to load out of Cape Insulation at Washington as well Harry. I believe there’s a Ridley’s thread on TNUK somewhere where you might get more info from.
