Old North East haulage companies (Part 1)

This is a good old photo of Mortons.

Did someone on here mention that they drove for Bero?? Here’s an oldie of a Bero truck and a couple of others!

Hi Ray, It is Bumper who drove for them, Larry.

Colin Hogg with his Gypsey. Larry.

If I remember rightly Crows Transport and Frederick Ray joined the Burnholme Forder group ( Storefreight) which was a bad decision cause I don’t think it worked out too well! That’s when John Crow started Crows Transport 1971 then subsequently bought Wilfred Whites Transport of Meadowfield. There’s not many photos of Crows motors on this site.

The Crows we are talking about were General Hauliers from Gateshead, and later Meadowfield Co Durham,
Not the Tanker company from Kent. Regards Kev.

Hiya,
Didn’t the Crow’s tanker outfit go by the name of Crow "Carrying"and
wasn’t the “bird” incorported in the livery, quite a big uotfit at one
time I seem to remember,my memory isn’t much I hasten too add.

This is the Crows you mentioned Kev which as you know has no connection to Crows of Gateshead.
