Cornish transport. would these be the last to run F7s in the North East?

Are Lincolns not still running them Brian??

Either Cornish or Alfie Maw would have been the last I think? Malcolm (Fire Fox) Littlewood drove Lincoln’s last F7 I think, AUP401W?? Maybe 1999/2000 when they got shot of that??

This was the last one Alf Maw ran i think, before it ended up shunting in Teesport.

C901LNL? A little before my driveing days! Dont recognise where that is…Teesport maybe?? I used to do weekend work down there but never in an F7!! I used to have hundreds of pictures of the fleet but unfortunately my ex wife through them out

firefly 1962 yes remember Swindells used to back load out of same places down the road when I was on for Collinson Bros(Chopwell). Only realy remember one of the lads had an 86 was going out with a lass that had a caravan cafe in the layby just before Grantham services Lizz I think you called her, I think he ended up being based at Grantham with a Swindell moter (not sure). Layby was usualy full mon morning with Dents , Collinsons & UBU

Heres one for F7 sidd

Way back in the Seventies and Eighties i was a director of Darington Driver Training and so was Eric Swindell, a real nice man. Probably that is why, like us at W.H.Williams Spennymoor, he had an enlightened view to giving young drivers a chance of gaining experience.

I drove for Swindells, I drove an 88 for a while then the dreaded Roadtrain, mostly steel out of the "scheme at Teeside Steel as it was then. Also carried paper out of Kemsley Mill back to Darlington. Once drove a little bedford to Glasgow a story Ive relayed on here before
