very sorry to hear about Gary had some great nights out with him always had a smile on his face, asking about Crows workshop next to the picture house in gateshead, i know G.E.Armstrongs had a fitting shop there when they had Liddle Terrace before they moved to Brandon, we used to drop the trailers in Gateshead lorry park, roughly where the civic centre is now. but i can’t recall Crows being there.

Hi Kieth, Crowbar would be the man to ask, Like yourself I dont remember them being there, Crows were in Abbots road in the 50s, Larry.

Hi Larry, I remember in the 60’s when GE Armstrong we’re in Ann Street, they had a couple of Sedan 6 wheeler’s. They used to come into Crows in Abbots Road for loads now and again, nice blokes! I was born near Gateshead High Street and have good memories of that area. Cheers!!

I also remember J Golden, he had a four wheel TK Bedford painted a sort of gold colour and was contracted to Domestos at Byker for years.

This is possibly a memory jogger for me, can anyone remember if the filling station in the picture had a sandwich vending on the far side of the building which was open at night.

Cheers Dave.
