Kev,can you remember another AEC Tractor unit that Muats had, AAO…J, it had a hub reduction back end, my mate at Seaton Burn, Arthur Lowdon bought it he ran quiet a few years on journey work, a good puller as I recall, Regards Larry.

Yes Larry, AAO891J was the other one. I did drive it for a while but it didnt seem to pull very well as it was regularly loaded with 20t.
instead of 15t. Alec didn’t seem to care that it a Mercury not a Mandator.
