Aye bigal20, Billy Hardacre served his time at Alfred Bells, He then went to work for Baxters Road Services on the Quayside & then to their Benton Depot when Bob Kinghorn bought Jonny Baxter out & later went on to join forces with Tony Waugh, Hence the new name Waugh Road Services, He passed away some years ago & not that old I may say, Buts that’s life, Regards Larry.

hi larry,i did,nt know that bill had served his time at alfred bells, after i served my time in the bedford shop at adams and gibbon dunn street the fitter that i worked with went to alfred bells, this would be sometime between 1960 and 1970, don,t know exactly when, as i had left a&g then, his name was gerry savage, and he was a really good fitter, i think he went to hunters the bakers team valley, after bells, i went on to be fleet engineer for rank hovis, alan.
