Thank you Foden S80, I did speak to the owner once at one of the shows, The gearbox had a minor problem at that time, But Im sure he would have it sorted now, Its nice to see it in Douglas,s livery, It must have been good paint to last this long, IIRC its a H/J Reg it must have been one of the last ones made with the S 36 cab, Regards Larry.
Has anyone seen this this week passing along A69 and military road and its supposed to leave heddon to night and travel to Blythe closing part of spine road

Here’s a couple of mishaps in my time at Fergies (not mine!!)32This happened when the kid driving took a roundabout too fast coming out of Castleford and turned the lot over. He escaped unhurt but minus a job.1This one happened outside Corkys on the valley about 5.30 at night, right on rush hour. Driver swore he put the safety clip in yet it was dangling down when I saw it. Took two recovery trucks to lift the loaded trailer back on to the unit.0 Dunno what happened here, I think he hit a deer or summat.
nor , a reckon he went doon a pothole , being a renault it fell to peices, any advance

Back to Eagle Transport, I remember being in London one day when Skipper Bisset came onto the hill, he had come through the B/W,Tunnel & his windscreen popped, ,He allways cabed it summer or winter, he was pretty tall so he would be a bit cramped in the LAD type cab, so he booked a bed at Tonys in Mansell Street, just up from the hill, Albert Greenwood & lots more Newcastle drivers took the p all night, they even laughed & told him he would get bed sores, But he he took it in good fun, Im hoping he is still about, because he might have photos which I hope he has , but get him on here & he will have us going for sure, great lad was Charlie Skipper Bisset, he had a boat at Ryton, hence the nickname Skipper, Regards Larry
