next question from my days at clems café on the A62 out of leeds
due you remember a tipper company H.G.WILKINSON from anfield plain co durham and one of there drivers called
big jacky who drove a 8 wheeler AEC,m major,i remember him pulling in one day in a Bedford they had to take the drivers seat out so he could get behind the wheel,but at least he had a cushion to sit on.do you no what happened to
HG WILKINSON and big jacky he must have been 25 stone but a hell of a nice bloke.

Also comes to mind they had a 4 wheeler Seddon flat did a bit of work for Ransome Marles Bearings IIRC, This was painted black & was sold to Crows of Gateshead, Regards Larry.

Last year I posted a photo of the lump of metal that came of a trailer after it ran away down witton bank and ended up in a field here are a few more photo’s and also some of the recovery operation that eventually took place.regards prattman.

that 142 of jackys was a good lorry used to run up with him from portsmouth when he had loaded fruit from MMD , he took some keeping up with, great fella aswell
