Its quite possible that I was an Ex Fed motor UBB Is a Newcastle Reg. They were still in Hanover Square Works at that time, Regards Larry.

Kev, I don’t know if you knew Joe Dimmick who sadley has p assed away, His younger brother Tommy worked for Waughy,s until he re-tired some time ago, I just thought you may known him, Regards Larry.
Great photos Pratman, We used to do lime from Thristlington in 70s for them up to Ravenscraig, & Farms in Lanarkshire. Do you know if Austen is still about ? The last time I was talking to him was at a RHA Meeting some years back, Regards Larry.
Youngs my ist job after getting my HGV 1974. I had just done 4yr on the buses one man operation good money at the time about £80 quid a week started Youngs around Oct did a week & half running up to Ravenscraig with dolamite then paid off for a week as they had been stockpiling plant wasn`t running did another 2 weeks same again paid off all this running up to xmas wife & 2 kids. Never went back. On the dole till Jan did I not love Austin Young
Maybe did me a favour started for Collinson Bros Chopwell in the Jan75 & was there for twelve & a Half yr

I know the name Larry, can’t put a face to it though. I do know Tommy Dimmick, in fact his name was mentioned a couple of weeks ago when I was talking to Derek Scullion (also ex Waugh’s). Tommy sold his house in Gateshead and moved into his mobile home permanently, (I think it’s in Weardale). Tommy has also been to one or two of our re-unions, hopefully we will see him again at another. Regards Kev.

Thanks Kev, Im going to old Joes funeral so Im sure to see Tommy, Ive known him & old Joe since the 50/60s Era Tommy was quite different from Joe in a lot of ways., But both canny lads in my book, Regards Larry.

Good photos Pratman like the ones out of your bedroom, coincidence they were both Badgers, I don’t have any of the Ergo Badgers, one of the best models out of Leyland in my book.

I went to Joes funeral Kev there was a good turn out & a very nice service, I was talking to Tommy he has moved back to The Leam Area but he still has his caravan at Longhorsley, & he intends coming to the next gathering, Regards Larry.

painted up as Tayforth I’m afraid they was past their best and they was
always breaking down, the Big J was also a motor I had for a bit it did
the job and I can never recall downtime with that one, happy days eh’.
