This old girl still works 6 days a week,covering approx 30 miles per day delivering fruit and veg to pubs,restaurants,hotels etc.
I see the lorry and driver every Monday in Penzance.
He’s owned the D Series since the early 70’s.thanks for the info.

Yes,and as the picture shows-a credit to its owner-as they say.IIRC this Scania replaced a Guy Big J 4 wheel tipper that this man ran for a lot of years-again,always immaculately presented.

The Cargo has been used regularly on my housebuild & recently sold it to A tractor enthusiast who is going to use it to take his tractor to rallies & shows - Only had 27,000 miles on the clock @ 22 years of age
The Old Yank (White Road Commander 2) had only 175.000 kms when i sold it to a Scottish Operator
The ERF is still in use (not many of these about now - If any - plenty of EC’s stuill earning their keep - but this is an EC8)

I overtook this on the M1 sth bnd between J26 - J25 a couple of months ago… Apparrantly its just used to transport his own traction engine… Think the lad’s from leicester… Still nice to see it being used…

This Ex-Killingbeck ERF was working still about 18 months ago.(Not seen her since)■■■■■■■ E290 was fitted at the time / and sounded well, and she was doing about 3 days aweek from Cheshire to Carlisle.
