John James Snr retired a few years ago and spends his time messing about with old army vehicles, still used to see him at Truckfest Shepton with the WW2 reenactment people, don’t know if he’ll bother with Malvern though. John is a larger than life character with some amazing stories from his long haulage career and if you have a bit of time is well worth listening to but make sure you ain’t in a hurry as he can talk for England. He took his Diamond T to Normandy a few years ago for the anniversary of the landings and met the original driver, interesting stuff. The 112 is the only lorry left now and it’s run by John James Jnr.
Sounds a interesting character.
Found a photo of it posted on another thread, this time from the front.
John james jnr is an interesting character to talk to for a while, john james snr has retired john james jnr drives the 112 and his son, john james, is a truck mechanic , he did tell me where but i forget!

when you do finally bring her home, will you do a picture diary to accompany the trip??
Soon i promise i go to get my turk visa on may 2nd so wont be too long after that, i have enough trouble doing my expenses sheet let alone a diary !
you got a load to bring back? would love to just see pics of the trips even if you can’t be bothered to do any writing on it!
Oh just got it a few pictures i can do that easier, like this one where i managed to find the one puddle in the whole of saudi and managed to get stuck in it for a couple of hours, it not easy to find a puddle there ya know, its a gift
