hi chris. left to right, my dad, bob tub ?, dave d’anger, ■■?. you may not know these from the photo as you proberly wasn’t born, lol

Hi Barry , I was looking at the pictures and knew I knew the face ,but could not put a name to Dennis , gary hintons ex wifes dad , he lives in st francis court behind the corner house now , I moved him there about 10 years ago from Garsington mobile home complex .

He ran the Brewery ware house , I did not see him as a driver , I also moved Alan , big chap who drove a Leyland Freighter for Rover transport ,he use to live Ambridge drive marston ,but now lives in Kennington , He did not like driving Arctics  ,even though he had a class1 , sure he did the London runs .

Can you ask your DAD who the chap was with the curly long blonde hair was who drove a w reg Cruiser and was was on shunting the engines ? sure he had a nickname .The cruiser had a hydraulic fifth wheel .

Those Cruiser were brandnew and some never touched the road, and they all had night heaters .

Barry another two names for your dad is , PETE ASHWOOD lives in st annes road ,spends a lot of time in his workshops making toys out of wood , also ? CROXFORD (ginger) ,opposite our yard , it looks like he is moving now but he has not rang us :open_mouth: .

I wasn’t aware that he ever started :unamused:  , if you got any photo’s to prove it my family would love to see them :open_mouth: ! He has a part-time gig driving the Blood-Vans up at the J.R. he never changes & he is a giggle  . Mick ‘The Greek’, Mr “I can get it or I can fix it for you” :unamused: , always ducking & diving & bobbing & weaving, never had bugger all to do with work I know that much! He used to live round in the Quarry, don’t know if he still does? Yes he did clout the bridge :unamused: , trouble with Mick was he had his mind on so many other things that when he left the Yard I’m amazed he remembered to take the Lorry with him half the time, always full of bluster & guff but I always found him OK . Can’t remember where it went, but that old Clydesdale was used on nights, hence the barely readable ‘Night Owl’ knickname on the front, & it was a spare rigid during the day!
