pete stevo does the Friday night /Saturday garage shunting for shirleys’ still. Mr scarlet is still on the fedex job as john said he was in sainsburys on Saturday bless him .Kenny green was at brit euro and i think rod Johnson is there .Stan Dukes is still around though retired . phil bunch is off work sick with heart trouble

Is that the same Rod Johnson that subbed for Comarts, used to live in Milton, if so I went to school with his daughter, very nice she was to !!!

i think it is the same one Ant he used to work for Beresford’s then Brit European on the transporters.i think he as retired now .

Didnt know there was one there but at a guess it may be Simon Knights, I think he lives up that way and runs Diamond freight, his dad Malcolm Knight was on Comarts for a while, I’ll ask wilky when I next see him , iI’ll have to go up and have a look at the weekend, see if \i can get some photos

Flying foden,thanks for the photo, yes it looked well, only my opinion , i think the f10, f12 from that time 1990s was one of the best trucks ever.

I used to have a neighbour never knew his first name a Mr Walley that drove for shirleys he would often call round home in erfs at first, then as time went on various volvos ,f88s f10sand one day i recall an f7 daycab tractor on hire from hartshornes, iwas young then but i remember them , then later worked with a chap named paul turner on coopers of milton, good man paul he went to work for shirleys. Both entered the pearly gates now bless em, anyone recll them?

Hiya john, not sure about his first name , it would have been early seventies i was still at school then , i reckon he was probably in his thirtys then would that tally ? he used to have wals rig in his cab in later years. cheers.

Im laughing at that, thats the fella,didnt know about the extra thumb though, he lived across the road from me in abbey hulton, never parked it at night tho there , it would have been stripped by the morning!
