Fernyhoughs, many a story use to go around about them. Used to work with a bloke who drove for them, but not for long. A couple of the stories were that 1 of his wagons was pulled on it
s way to Cornwall, and trippng the weighbridge out at over 50t, and then spotted by the same copper in Stoke a few hours later, **another one was when the ministry paid a visit to his yard, only to be faced with 2 f12 Volvos with the same reg plates**. Don
t know if these were true, they were told to me by the bloke I used to work with.
That’s not a new trick and was done by bigger and better in the 70’s 80’s, i seem to recall they called it Ghosting
I worked for Stan for two weeks in 88 or 89, it’s a long time ago anyway! one of the other drivers showed me the “Switch” under the ashtray on day two!!! but doing day’s, noons and nights all in the same day was to much for me

Boatchaser,
To put up multiple pics on one post,if you have put one pic on your post, open another homepage,go to your image hosting site,Photoshop or whoever you use, select another pic, copy it then go back to your post and add the second pic.You just keep moving between the two sites, copy a pic from one, then post it after the others on your entry.
Like this:
I saved this image from Photobucket and pasted it on here like this:
Then I minimized this site and opened up another home page, went to Photobucket again and copied another pic.
I then minimized the Photobucket site, bring up this site and paste the next pic, like this:
You can do this as many times as you like I’ve found,I’ve had no problems with posting too many pics on one posting up to now.
Any problems,let me know.

You’re not kidding! get behind one of these on a motorbike on the motorway and you’ll know about it, you can usually pick up the smell from about 2 miles behind them
Used to work for them and this is why they smell
yep, i remember them, before i started driving i had a job where i was making & repairing curtains & waggon sheets & i had the unenviable task of repairing the john pointon sheets when they came in. I had to throw my clothes away after because i just couldn’t get rid of the smell & i had to soak in the bath for an hour too.
cheers

I can’t remember if I posted this photo in this thread or not, it is certainly on another thread in this forum.
Operated by a Brit European France sub contractor called Maurice Shelton who also pulled for Rokold and Christian Salvesen.
The photo was lent to me by a mutual friend.
