Fair enough for the uk. But id imagine some ex comunist conscript border guard in eastern europe would think its christmas and how much vodka money could he sting you for
You’re not wrong there.
So have you popped down to Albert Dock and sorted that passport yet, no excuses for a man of your calibre, you’ve signed up for a job, surely you’ll be seeing it through

If only it had been a day earlier you could have had a ride with me. I was at the Thai Consulate office, just down the road from the passport office, at 10.30 this morning. (Thurs) Mind I wouldn’t have wanted to be hanging about for 4 hours. I was in & out in ten mins, £35 lighter.

Looking forward to a picture diary of your forthcoming trip.
What way are you going? You won’t have any border restrictions as you won’t be commercial if you’re bobtail, so that gives you better options.
Due to the passport problem, I’ve given it to someone else for this trip.
The response was huge, So i wasn’t stuck. I didn’t want to let the bloke down. So at least i got it covered.
I’m disapointed about not going, But i’ve got plenty to be getting on with.

You can renew up to 9 months before it expires and have the remaining time to expiry added to the new one.
Renew it in December when they are sat twiddling their thumbs in the Passport Office with nothing to do. Comes back in no time.
