Hi chaps…calm down, I can confirm I wasn’t being paid so its perfectly legal.

Were you instructed by the company to attend or was it your choice ?

Totally my choice squire

Then, according to the latest letter I have from the DfT minister Stephen Hammond that is rest and not other work

It seems the lastest legal viewpoint refers to whether the driver has been instructed to attend or not be it paid or unpaid

So, I was right all along then, they have finally learnt how regulations work!

The EU might take a different view legally but who is going to pass a test case over to them ■■? certainly no driver and not the UK powers that be because they have already made their decision

Like I said before, since there is no regulations governing what a driver does in his free time, it isn’t going to happen.
