Hi boys
Norm as Dave says I hope every thing goes well for him, It cannot be easy for any of you .Please send our regards.

Keith.

Hi boys
Norm I’ve seen those videos before and they are still worth another look. They bring back so many memories. Ian is proberly right you wouldn’t want to go now but when we went in the seventies it was so much different and most people were glad to see you. I’ve read on here how things had changed in the 80s and 90s with all the new roads and bypasses changed for the better is debatable.

Regards Keith

Yes Keith I must admitt my heart skipped a beat when I saw certain places, I must say I never saw one of those drivers in a cafe, but they was only on just over Ā£20 a week like the Bulgarians, but they always seem to travel in three’s, I think I already told you three travelled to Bagdad, while passing through Kurd region one knocked over a child, they was chasted them, one got strung up, one went missing and the other got to Bagdad and flew home, I was stuck in Londra camping when one of the hungarian drivers was passenger and because I knew him, he told me this story and he was going to drive the vehicle back, he ask me where my wagon was, I showed him, he laughed not even you Norman can drive that Leyland Marathon again!

Hi boys
Norm you sound as if your getting sentimental in your old age   It’s our memories that keep us going. The best about this forum is that someone always comes up with the information to fill in the gaps of your mind. There are some good names in your list and hopefully someone will be able to help you get in touch with the ones you have lost contact with. I’m glad I was very young when I went out there and hope I’m around for a good while yet

Regards Keith.

Keith & lads I am, I am a soft old sod. :unamused: :unamused: :unamused:    In our local paper was a whole page about the judo club in the 1960’s and my mate Bill Thomas was grinning at me when he was 29 years old, fifty years ago.
