regarding the BRS bristols of Queensferry an old mate of mine drove i think it could have been YDM746 . he mostly hauled steel to Fords at halewood or Triumph back loading timber from liverpool docks he later had a AEc mandator which he preferred thank you trevor

One of the Bristols at LLandudno had a Rare Bristol trailer behind it (Yae131) The other Bristol (NEG863) Had a york diamond chassis in Wrexham Livery, but that was done by myself and never owned by BRS. I do know they had Bristols in Wrexham or Queensferry as a Driver called Ron Swannick from St Martins used to call at home and park out side my house, The bristol was the smiley face model. If anyone is interested there is a BRS meet at lincoln farm july 15" and fifty vehicles including the old Noddy vans

hi oxo didnt those bristols of Wrexham depot used to haul re bar out of Brymbo amongst other things thank you trevor

Hiya,
Complete Bristol outfit isn’t it both tractor and trailer, the trailer
mudguards are a dead giveaway I can remember the new Bristols
being delivered to Blackburn depot (CT) they always arrived with
a new trailer attached, wish I’d a bob for every mile I’ve punched
one of those “old girls” around, great motors in their day.
thanks harry, long retired.

Hi Harry.
I can only find 6 Bristols at Blackburn with the older type cab : JCB 812, KBV 91 92, KBV 246 261 and 230
all came in during Mar - May 1958. SRN 217 CT31 was the only later one in Oct.62. I’m not sure if
UCK 173, 3C1460 was one of yours in Nov.63? I haven’t found any photos of Blackburn lorries. Only 1 poor quality of a Queensferry Bristol with a load of steel Regards Peter

Done some sums regarding Bristol lorry distribution today! South East had 226, Scotland had 44, North Western area had 86, North Eastern had 209, Midland had 273, West of England had 118, and Wales and Glos. had 195. Of these 83 came in the last 2 years of production and all the final batch came to S.Wales.
