International and National CPC’s are for Operators, separate to Drivers CPC

An international CPC is an operator qualification, nothing to do with any driver qualification.

On the other hand it could be some daft bint in Driver Hires office who hasn’t a clue what she is talking about.

I thought it was something to do with more office staff rather than drivers… i’ll apply anyway having only passed my Mod 2 and 4, got to try everything

A lot of OD have that CPC

Poss a mistake on there behalf but go for it

Not sure why you would need your own international CPC tbh

This sounds a bit iffy, why would a driver hire firm require a international cpc holder? and who’d be stupid enough to take the job on?
Driving and being CPC holder for a firm you know nothing about, quick way to lose your CPC or worse :open_mouth:

I think the primary vacancy is an OCPC holder for O licence. A condition of the successful applicant is that they can also drive the lorries.

Just a thought

But you would have thought that they would be advertising for a transport manager not a driver, yes you could drive as well but there is a lot of resposibility being a OCPC holder for a company. Also unless they are just starting up, what happened to the last CPC holder?

Forget the driver cpc. This is something else, not often talked about on this part of the board.

The Operators CPC is the absolute big boy of transport. You will only need it if you aspire to become a transport manager or perhaps one day own your own truck.

No more National and later International. Since 04/12/2011 you pass them both together or you dont pass them.

This is the big one that my old boss Sterling said you had to pass to get a free artic. 20 years ago I was teaching this little baby, I will give a free artic to anyone that passes in 2012. It is that difficult.

I don’t care if it is only a model with Flair Training on it. I will hold him to it for the first person on these forums to pass the new combined CPC exams :grimacing:

errr yeah he’s gonna regret that

Maybe things went a bit pear shaped and he’s sleeping with the fishes?

Cheers John but I already claimed mine from Sterling back in 2008 thanks. Had 6 weeks to study at home 1 day classroom study and passed CPC first time   must have been one of the few to manage it, always been a bit of a clever sod though

Maybe not, just ask Harry Monk how difficult the combined exam is and he’s been in the game for years :open_mouth:

I meant his very generous offer of giving away an artic on passing OCPC exams. He wrote it on here so it is technically written in stone

I held Module 1,3 & 5 for PCV, i do believe that Freight is mods 1 2 4 and international is 6? after Jan 1st i believe everybody has to hold the international part of the OCPC, and OD who have 1,3 & 5 have 12 months to get the international mod that was my understanding of the new rules that came into affect.
