Sorry to be a fly in the ointment but nobody has mentioned the show is only estimated to finish at 21:55. I would have thought it will overrun and you’ll miss the bridge opening alltogether.

it says bridge open 2200, bridge close 2230, whether it really stays open that long I’ve no idea.If that’s right there’s going to be a massive traffic jam all round that area as it’s busy even on a Saturday night.
Yep massive. Can`t see it being left open for 30mins.
It is very very good seeing it open for real but I was amazed at how quick it was.
Good Luck!!! Its worth seeing. Post some picture`s up if you make it.
Will do if I catch it…

No, I’m basing that on reviews, not the actual schedule

Dunno, not much traffic going into the City on a Saturday night at that time, there’s always London Bridge as an alternative crossing. A lot of the traffic too/from the West End goes by Waterloo Bridge onto the Strand and up via Trafalgar Square.

Rubbish is all I can say to that.
Boris bike is the best option (only as it’s quicker than walking) but I don’t see that you’re going to make it. Good luck though.
Well done on the weight loss northener.
you must have walked the whippet a fair old way to shift that lot
Blackcab is your best bet!

Well, I used to live in London and spent a lot of time in Central, so I know what I’m talking about. Remember it’s 2200 on a Saturday, not 1700 on a Friday. Sure there’ll be a bit of traffic but hardly gridlock. As I said there’s London Bridge a little up the river as an alternative crossing.
On a saturday night before xmas theatres kicking out it may not be rush hour but still busy. Im in central london regular on a saturday

even if you dont get there in time to see it opening and closing,it would still be worth seeing as you’ll also see the tower and HMS Belfast.
if the belfast fired real shells from her guns they would land at scratchwood services!!! i’m sure lots of you know this already lol.
London is a great city. Makes me laugh when you see all the northerners knock London but theres so much history architecture and culture to see

It’s nice to get into the countryside and away from the place at times, especially in the summer, but there is a hell of a lot to do there. This is an excellent book, I’ve got a copy.

Some parts have a bad reputation, but I felt safer in London all the time I was there than I did in New York when I went there a few years ago. I used to regularly walk through Brixton and Peckham of a night time, no problem. You just have to have a “I don’t give a ■■■■” look on your face and look like you know where your going
We go down a couple of times per year for various reasons, so I know it’s a great city with loads to do, it’s just that I’ve never seen the bridge open in person, so the plan is to try and manage it, but the reason we’re down this time is for the show, so that’s got to take priority
