No stopping

Being monitored and controlled (literally) constantly by some young spotty ■■■■ in an office, (who more than likely knows the far end of Jack [zb] about transport in reality) … and having to answer to him and explain when you need to stop

I refuse shifts for the Co-op now for this exact reason. At the “debrief” (even the word irritates me) he questioned why i had stopped for twice on the way to the store (once was because of their own policy of not arriving early!)which annoyed me enough but it was his question of why I had taken 49 minutes for my break instead of only 47 that broke the camels back

Never had that issue at coop at Thurrock.
But I’ve never taken the ■■■■ with them.

And a 49 minute break is a huge ■■■■ take tbh

Yep ‘debrief’ ffs, ■■■■ pretentiousness at it’s worst.
So basically it did not affect the delivery he was just being a pure ■■■■ for the sake of it, who tf do these people think they are eh?
Little 2 hat wants chinned, would love it if you tell me you did…

I can beat that. :sunglasses:
I often take 15 mins over my 11 hour daily rest, 10 hours instead of a 9, and wait for it…50 minute breaks. :open_mouth:
How much of a maverick rebel am I eh? :sunglasses:

lancaster bomber pilots and spitfire pilots got " debriefed " in ww2…a lorry driver gets "debriefed " as its easier typing debrief than lorry driver gets nitpicked over any minor discrepancies in his shift by some hair gelled pointy shoe ■■■■ wit ■■■■■■ that usually has no comprehension of what the job entails whatsoever and is going through the motions because that what company policy tells him to do.

somewhere i heard theres such a device that “milks you” of ■■■■ so you dont need to stop. i bleve its for fighter pilots

Don’t tell these f.whit micro managers that ffs, or it’ll become part of your ‘daily checks’ ticking off if it’s fixed on properly.

Sounds preposterous and out of the question, but 10 yrs ago so did in cab cameras. :bulb:

I’ve worked for tuffnells and dx freight night trunking.
I know tnt, DPD and the pallet network trunking is all the same.

You do not stop.

Yes you can stop but most guys stop on the hard shoulder for a ■■■■■.
You can get away a few times getting a quick coffee at a MSA.
But if you make it a daily part of your routine they will clock on to it.

Personally I find night trunking complete crap unless you get a good run. Or work at a place where there is a lot of waiting so there is not much time lost.

WTF "

So I’m presuming that the reason that they illegally stop on the hard shoulder for a ■■■■, rather than an MSA, is because it looks on the tracker that they are stopped on the actual m.way for whatever legitimate reason, such as a hold up, .which these ■■■■ s in the office will deem ‘‘acceptable’’ in their tiny little minds.
So to sum up, rather than face the wrath of these little Hitler arse holes, not only do they chose to stop illegally, but face endangering their own lives and others, by risking a hard shoulder collision. :open_mouth:
Honestly…You could not make it up…As Beaver says…WTF !

You don’t generally ( need to ) stop and have to inform them if you do isn’t the same thing as not allowed to/can’t stop.

We living in fairy land now?

We all know drivers stop on the hard shoulder for a ■■■■■.
We all know some drivers take their breaks on the hardshoulder.
Heck, I know a few drivers who have taken daily rests on the hardshoulder under overpasses.
Also seen plenty of drivers take their daily rest on the slip roads to motorway service stations so free parking.

It’s reality. right or wrong doesnt change the fact that it happens.

Yep done it myself in times of desperation.
But desperation is a different reason than being frightened of your boss enough to hide what you are really doing
