It seems now that the Police have stopped drawing lines with chalk around your motor at Tesco when you have been held back to your time is up, according to a driver (who obviously estimated my intelligence rate to zero 
)who told me in all seriousness, that after phoning the law to ask where to park because his time was up (as you do normally ) they were there within 10mins (thats when you know it’s crap_ Police…10mins…nah ) CLAMPED him for his 11 hours off and released him next day 
…I kid you not 
I just looked at him, said nothing, didn’t change expression, turned and walked.
Is he the same guy who rammed through the tesco RDC barriers to escape false imprisonment I bumped into a few weeks back when they wouldn’t let him out by any chance

I’m the same Harry. There’s drivers local to me that as soon as they pull up in a mill they’re straight out the door to go find a driver to talk to! they never bother me matt as the fishmeal i deliver to the feed mills keeps them at bay lol
How ironic,only today,i had driver say he had been to Syria and Jordan,i was tempted to say on one card,one hit to tip at this RDC?

Agency Bod who was in our place the other week told me he pulled in to Iceland (Swindon) and overheard another driver saying that he only had 1.5 hours left on his card before he needed his daily rest and could they hurry along with the removal of the 4 pallets he had. ‘Sure thing’ was the reply and 2hrs later, he was still there. Feds were called, after the driver saying that he wasn’t moving for 11hrs '‘cuz you ■■■■■■ me about’ seemed to cause a problem. Dibble said that they had to leave a bay empty either side of his truck, so as not disturb his sleep…honest guv
How stupid are these guys who expect a sane person to believe the crap they talk about ?
No police ever wheel clamped any truck to hold it for a due rest period or ever drew chalk lines around the vehicle… Gossip like this gets out of hand and expands beoynd any normal way of life.
When ‘ELOGS’ first came into use in this country word spread round that when your time is up the truck shuts down Total BS of course I was in a traffic line waiting for an hour to go about 1 mile once and mentioned on the CB to the guy behind that I used ELOG and said my time ran out in 5 minutes … “Oh my God ! so you will just shut down and block the road ?”
“No, I will carry on and enter a remark that I was delayed by a traffic jam”
He insisted my truck would just switch off no matter how much I told him that was utter crap and was amazed 30 minutes later wheh I was still moving

One of my friends told me they were talking to someone. The other driver told him I was a miserable zb who never lets on to them.

All the CPC trainers have come across so far are teaching that is a genuine fine (rightly or wrongly)…not encountered that myself but don’t risk it and always check the legs are fully up, IIRC one complete turn was the maximum threshold before you get your wallet out tho ?
