No longer a drivers myth

Look who’s started up again …

50 lorries to start with and see how it goes…good luck to them if they can wipe out the green machine monopoly …

bet they won’t stay at 50 for long

Hehe,

Would be hilarious if they got the work back.

Means they got free money off stobarts

Well, all we need now is a photo of a truck parked on a bay with the 5 bays either side coned off, and a copper on guard to make sure that the tug driver only does 5mph all night, and the driver getting his well deserved nights sleep

And that will be another myth gone

to quote the bottom picture, “part of the irlam family” is this the same irlam as that stobart own’s…

They got a lot going for them …they only have to mention irlam to the old customers …coca cola p&g etc …don’t think they will struggle…nearly had a heart attack when my boss said Irlams are collecting a load …

Yes mate it’s the Irlam Brothers out of the original chelford depot in Manchester

Even used the stobart truck mascot. Nice touch

This mean davy boy isn’t a stobart director anymore? That was part of the buyout deal for him to join the stobart board.

Good luck to them, competition is healthy.

All dewy eyed over a company that sold its employees down the river not too long ago?! Have rates improved again?
Have I missed something?

Remember the old saying… Never go back!

Curiouser and curiouser!’ cried Alice (she was so much surprised, that for the moment she quite forgot how to speak good English)

I noticed a couple of months ago that David Irlam is no longer listed on the Stobart site as a director

What are they paying?

isnt MOTOPGUN/ady1 going to pop up and make a statement?. seem to remember him mocking those who said irlams was going alone again

They signed something like a 5 year deal not to start up in transport iirc

The families of David, Michael and Stewart Irlam each own a third of the company founded by James Irlam in 1964, initially as a transporter of milk churns to Manchester dairies.

Based in Chelford, Cheshire, Irlam employs 674 staff, operating 263 trucks and 633 trailers for clients including Coca Cola, Britvic, Tesco and Proctor & Gamble.
