I am often amused to see drivers on the side of the road kicking a flat tyre as if by some miracle it is not really flat and kicking it will make it suddenly re-inflateI think that’s more of a Basil Faulty moment, trying to teach the tyre a lesson than a belief it will actually re-inflate.
Watched a bloke years ago in London, big old builder, somebody pointed out his truck had a flat. He got out, looked at it, swore, and took an almighty kick at it. trouble is, he missed the tyre and toe-punted the rim. Last I saw he was hopping around on his good foot holding the other one in his hands and cursing fit to bust.
