Night out gear

to begin with you just need bedding, clothing, wash gear and water and some picture books for night time reading
if you try to take to much gear to soon in a small cab it’ll drive you mad moving stuff from here to there and back again.

All good advice there is always something you will forget its only when you move trucks you wonder how you fitted everything in any way what so special about canon park i have not been there

gezt:
not much room at all in those things shrek, when i got out of my old daf transporter and into my new daf space cab it was like moving from a cupboard to a mansion, so much storage and i can stand up in it  i cant fill the cupboards even

Oh stop boasting…you’re making me jealous!

There really isn’t ANY storage in the cab at all. no overhead lockers, no space under the bunk, nothing. In fact, I’m off to B&Q today to get some plastic containers for spare straps etc to strap onto the trailer…just to free up one of the side lockers for personal stuff like food, coat, etc…

As for standing up…forget it! I’m 5’ 11" but I have developed a technique for getting dressed/undressed involving a combination of laying on the bunk and crouching on the drivers seat! Fun!

Oh yeah, and then I have to strip the bunk of my bedding so my bags and stuff can be stored on there during the day. I like it though. :sunglasses:

Ive got

small camping burner
small frying pan,
suacepan x2
fridge best thing Ive brought cold cans
duvet and pillows
inverter mind you that was already wired in when i got the truck
laptop
mobile internet dongle
freeview stick for the laptop
loo roll
wet wipes
black bags
5l water container x 2
and enough tins of beans etc to last months

Giblsa:
the first thing in my bag for a night out is toilet roll and baby wipes. i got caught out the other weekend no loo roll so had to use the blue roll stuff you get. i was a bit tender, shall we say.

They now call him Choo Choo because he has a tender behind

Make sure you got spare gas for your stove, theres nothing worse than not being able to make a coffee in the morning …eh GB

What is wrong with cannon park mdlbourgh?

gezt:
Not sure why anyone buys 12volt inverters. For the same money you can get a 24volt version which is actually designed to run in lorries. Then you can do away with converters and droppers. and bolts instead of fuses

Heres the 24 volt version from maplins for the same money as a 12volt version

maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?Mod … doy=search

that similar to what i use and it works a treat,
[/quote]

i bought the 12v one as i already had a dropper for my fridge (in case of no hella plug) and i can use it in the car with the laptop (to keep the brat happy watching films!)

forgot to mention fridge on my list as well, where the hell do i put it all in a DAF CF, havent brought te fridge this weekend i,ve got a massive one on the back!

Bolt cutters.
Knuckle duster.
Bog role.
Blown fuse.
Foreign licence.
Dead blokes digi card.
200 ■■■■.
Mute women.
Anti muslim tablets.

I did away with the aerial that came with it, went to my local caravan shop and asked them for an aerial that works for digital tv

when I park up I fit it to an extending pole and clip to it the mirror arm and move it round till I get a good picture
