Night out and analog tacho

If drive truck with analog tacho, when you finish we put mileage, date.but after must put new disk or leaving tacho empty and put when start work?

Leave empty.

Take the chart out at the end of the shift and put a new one in when you start a new shift, leave the tachograph empty between shifts.

Remember to write your current location on the end and the start discs

Leave it empty you can then drive about to go to the fish shop

Don’t forget to pull the fuse first.

pull the fuse, and replace with a blown one that you keep for emergencies, fill a disc identical to the 1 you just removed, and as you fit it in,turn the disc so that the paper centre rips, carry on driving for another 9 hours, then replace this with your new disc…replace blown fuse for good one,and voila,a 9 hour break and your good to go…or are you not meant to do that now your all professionals with dcpcs■■?

It s better to leave your card in if not in the uk ,just don’t over shoot the 24 hr period or get moving the mode switch cleaning the dash whilst your supposed to be resting !

Just remember to leave the finishing mileage blank until you have “really” stopped for the night, then…ahem…adjust accordingly.

yeah right that really don’t work since the peeks need to tally perfectly …

Take it out do SDR / SWR (start daily rest /weekly rest) and a line fill In a manual entry on the reverse …

None, must pull fuse 14, must do 70 mph, must work 24hrs

When i started driving i was told that the chart should be left in the head unit if stopping out and should only be changed for a new one at the start of the next 24 hour period this way it shows your daily rest period and any activity for the whole 24 hours.

But then if you don’t change the chart before the 24 hours is up you end up with part of the trace being overwritten.

must slow down to 70mph In traffic, must make fortunes, must overtake all the bean counters, must have great satisfaction in doing so…and above all…must make boat…

Technically correct. However, obviously you would insert the new chart as soon as you came off of your rest period so if you did go over the 24 hours with one disk then it would be whilst the tacho was set to break. This being the finest of the lines recorded in the activity field of the chart would mean that it would not actually overwrite the previous data.
