When i started driving i was told that the chart should be left in the head unit if stopping out and should only be changed for a new one at the start of the next 24 hour period this way it shows your daily rest period and any activity for the whole 24 hours. But then if you don’t change the chart before the 24 hours is up you end up with part of the trace being overwritten.
Technically correct. However, obviously you would insert the new chart as soon as you came off of your rest period so if you did go over the 24 hours with one disk then it would be whilst the tacho was set to break. This being the finest of the lines recorded in the activity field of the chart would mean that it would not actually overwrite the previous data.
Yes it will. It will over write the distance trace… And for that you’ll posably get a fine.

pull the fuse, and replace with a blown one that you keep for emergencies, fill a disc identical to the 1 you just removed, and as you fit it in,turn the disc so that the paper centre rips, carry on driving for another 9 hours, then replace this with your new disc…replace blown fuse for good one,and voila,a 9 hour break and your good to go…or are you not meant to do that now your all professionals with dcpcs■■?
Dose that really work I thought that was just myth For milage ect
