Just wondering if im still one of the young ones on road at 29 now 6 years on and still not seen a driver younger than me on road yet lol
i’ve met a few younger irish drivers latey. 2 female and 3 males. i also met a good english girl in morrsons in brigdwater the other day. she drives for morrisons, she could have been much more that 25
There’s plenty of u21s on the roads, our place has @ least 10 under the age of 30…
24 here, been driving for nearly a year. Know another guy who’s 22.
We have a 19 year old lad on our firm and he has the cleanest artic and trailer on the company. In all honesty he is a cracking driver too
Nice to know some are getting on road and companies giving them a chance at young age. took me a while at 23 to get on class 1 due to companies moaning at insurance
I see drivers who look to be under 29 practically every day, there was two in the drivers rest room where I was working last night and one of them was certainly in his early 20s.
in fact i think we have some new starters in the next couple of weeks who are quite young newly passed drivers. My boss likes new pass drivers as he can train them his way as they usually dont come with the attitude of us old boys

I’m glad there are new young lads and lasses coming through! they need a chance!
come to stobarts, they’re all twelve!
well the managers are anyway!
I started at 18, got a 22 and a 23 year old driving their own 15m coaches, better than some old hands!
I remember seeing a girl working for a â– â– â– â– â– â– â– â– haulier in Greenock docks a couple of years ago, I thought of every excuse possible to talk to her.
I still dream about finding a fit young female truckers. We could shag wearing steelies and high vis vests for lingerie.
I’m 25, been driving for just over a year now.

We’ve got some apprentices just been sent back to the training centre, apparently they’re treating the wagons like boy racer cars etc, deemed not yet suitable by their mentors…

Our drivers come in one at a time and spent time with there trainer but they are straight into there own wagon and play follow the leader. The trainer will have a say in wether they are suitable to run on there own.
I’m 21, new to artics but enjoy it but have been driving rigids for coming up to 8 months now but was on vans for 2.5 years before that. Got my ADR in tankers and normal all category’s apart from radioactive. And hopefully completing my international cpc and Dgsa corse early next year
Am 24 been on the wagons since I was 17 didn’t pass my test till I was 21 though
I’m 22 with Class 1.
Got my Class 2 license November 2010 and Class 1 License January 2011.
Started job on rigids in October 2011 and still driving for them.
There is maybe 5 other drivers local to me 20-25 years of age with Class 1 license driving Class 1 and Class 2.
Pretty hard to get onto Class 1 work though

Lug is still 28 although mentally 8 I thing
