A serious reply from a tramper,Full width cab with enough height to stand up in, steering mid axle, fridge, two bunks (top one is really useful for storage), air con, electric windows, central locking, a decent drivers seat (not leather) and thats it to be fair, cant see what more you’d need, dont understand the need for a big engine either, i’ve got a 480 and think its more than enough, if anything over powered.
Also from a tramper,
a decent dash with a table top, like the new MAN has as it does come in usefull for the laptop etc, cupbourd space and most important a decent bed.Madguy
I’ve got a full length table and could live without it!

No problem mate, send me a CV, I have got jobs coming up soon!

A daf xf cab with a scania v8 engine and volvo gearbox! If i was tramping as i dont nowadays i would like single bunk with lockers on the back wall, leather seats, air con, fridge, microwave, bluetooth and rubber floor mats.If on bulk work six spotlights on top for the dark dingy country lanes if not then no need for them.Durabright alloys they are easier to keep clean and a chequered catwalk.
That sounds about right. Only I would take the TopLine cab with Volvo Dash.
I-shift
scania v8 (620hp), retarder + scale, ride height button, weight removal button.
some extra spotlights BELOW the windshield so they can be used in fog or snow.
2 beds, upper one is the best storage place I know.
Tag of course, we have winter here 5 months a year.
Almost forgot, 230v inverter couldn’t live without it now when I have had it.
Dual glass side windows of course.
A steering wheel which doesn’t stink of smoke.

I am potentially ordering brand spanking new trucks! If you were being told that you were getting a new truck and they wanted your input on what toys to get for it, air suspension, built in sat nav etc, what would you ask for? Serious and silly answers accepted!
left ■■■■■■, v8 r730 Scania with a 6ft blonde driving it! Blue eyes, big puppies and a bald pussie for finger licking chicken! HTH!
1st thing is age of truck is irelavent as long as its clean and tidy , day drivers dont need toys there in it to drive not to live ,trampers live in there truck so storage is important as is having the abillabity to be self sufficent so micro and fridge would be nice other than that theres not much else needed

+1. Day drivers trash the trucks anyway so no point in giving them toys, unless its a one driver one truck affair.
Scania 620,half leather seats with massager, footspa fitted in the passenger side floor, fridge(fully stocked with beer),microwave, flatsceen TV/dvd,kingsize bed and £700pw take home. For that you get a lazy fat beer swilling bar steward with smooth feet. Give us a call when you need me.
