Oh so that’s where I’m going wrong, I’m comparing Chris Evans to the presenter that was before him on “Don’t forget your toothbrush” and also the presenter that came before him on “TFI Friday”, poor poor misjudged Ginger pube!

It’s obvious that his radio presentation format is too OTT for Top Gear.Last night’s episode seemed to work better because he played less part in it.Rory Reid’s objective review of the Ford for example was as good if not better than anything which Hamster did and Chris Harris is doing a reasonable job with the serious car testing side of the programme.On that note I’d put last night’s effort ahead of some of the silly irrelevant stunts that the old team often did.With even the mad stunt around London being entertaining in that regard.Added to which is Top Gear extra.IE it was looking a bit more like the serious car show for car enthusiasts that we need.
Of course nothing to do with being made to quit top gear due to being investigated for being the latest “star” who’s been upto the same stuff as jimmy saville and Rolph Harris.

Yes he is being instigated, or rather a complaint has been lodged dating back to the 1990’s, but at present that’s all that’s being said.
I’m not defending him, just that we shouldn’t automatically assume the worst of people all the time…
