just an update got that call from williams and not good they basically said nothing available due to my age and experience but if an aprenticeship position does come up they will consider my application! so agencies here i come i got a small list to start off with but i wont contact them until i get by digicard!

Jimmy I have also applied for that depot as I’m in cider country somerset “oh arhh” been told they are screaming out for drivers and they take on noobies. With regards to agency’s try driver hire. They seemed pretty positive when I spoke to them. What is ur age if u don’t mind my asking?

I’m 23 miles away from the depot so ain’t to bad. I have to drive 15 miles to work ATM so an extra 8 shouldn’t be a problem. Not sure if you have seen it but there is a post on here from early last year. Some little dude went for a job there and got turned down, he went nuts and probbably offended most people on this forum. I’ll try and find it and post the link.

No jimmy I haven’t got an interview yet. I’m gonna ring them today and see what they say but at the same time trying not to get my hopes up. On the other hand it’s the only thing that is keeping me motivated in my current job at the mo. I know I should be greatfull for having a job and I am but have been there to long and the company I work for isn’t the same as it used to be. I don’t know why that prat on the other post lost it so much. It’s like someone said they may have called him back a couple days later and gave him another opportunity. have you put in your application yet jimmy?
last thursday i sent it mate so i should be looking at sometime this week for a reply? how long ago did u send it away should i be looking at longer than week?
i no how u feel tbh im banking on this RW application 2bf! that said my digicard came thru today now i can now actively look for work! read the post RW drivers and read the guys post about his test drive etc seems quite intense i get really worried about daily checks n stuff n this semi auto box■■?/ going to look it up on the net. that said im worrying and may not even get a look in! just been phoning agencies only one of them seem keen for an interview which is a shame so this wisemans job better come in lol! never knew having no experience would hinder it as much as it has!!
last tuesday i sent mine because i was told by the pm that they were recruiting. spoke to the pm again today just to see if they had had time to review it and they said “yes but were not recruiting at the moment. we will be again end of feb/ early march time so will keep you on file”. good job i didnt get my hopes up too much

well thats it i have everything now my licence only took just over two weeks ive just got my cpc qualification card and my digi card im now ready raring to go signed up with an agency yesterday so hopefully fingers crossed some wrk will start coming my way just sent off another application today so wish me luck and hopefully the next time you see me will be a new thread titled my first day’!!! cheers for the help guys and the advice! i finally got there nearly a year after starting and parting with around 3k lol…dw it wasnt thru an agency i just kept failing lol!

my licence only took just over two weeks
jimmy, when you sent off to get your licence updated, which form did you have to fill in. was it a D1 or a D2? or do you just send off your licence with your pass certificate?
3k… ouch. were you not offered pass protection?? would have been a bit cheaper. how many times did you fail?
no coz i failed with one company who messed me about then went with anothetr who didnt offer pass protection failed 3 times i only just passed this time with 11 minors lol, i have written it ur agency post regarding licences mate
