New renault seen

This is why drivers are on crap wages. Because they get erections at the sight of a bloody Renault of all things. You lot really do need to get brains and wake up. Chrome and flashdash really isn’t the way to put food on your table.

Chrome and flash?? :open_mouth: its a new fleet spec Renault you muppet, its a truck many people on here might end up spending quite a lot of their working day in and maybe quite a lot of their week. So they’re interested, the same as other people working in other jobs are interested in new equipment.

If you’re not interested then [zb] off and go onto a forum than interests you and if you don’t like you job and aren’t interested then find another way of earning a living, there must be loads of opening for somebody as talented as you.

Trouble is, if your boss says you’re having a Renault, how many can say ‘no boss, I’ll have a Scania/MAN/Merc instead as I prefer the quality of the plastics in that’?

Irrespective of the trucks faults, the majority of drivers will be stuck with it if the boss says so! So on the basis it’s Hobson’s Choice, who gives a [zb]?

I refer the gentlemen to the first line of the second paragraph of my post.

Actually that was probably a bit harsh, and its a fair point, most of us don’t decide, but there is an interest or this post wouldn’t now be on 2 pages.

I like the look of them.

Prefer it when it was disguised

How they went from this ■■■■ beast:

…to that is a bit of a mystery.

I Would love a truck with a driving postion like that.

Saw my 1st one yesterday too, a Seven motor, stood out tbh and after driving previous Premiums, I’d be happy to drive 1

Good looking truck
but lovely is as lovely does.

Wonder if they will still tickover like a wet dog
shaking its self dry.

So to cut through the confusion some of you are saying you cannot get the largest cabbed T range (ie the Magnum) in right hand drive in this country? Is that correct or are people confusing that with the old magnum being phased out altogether?

I’ll take your word for it fingers. We are being discriminated against, what happened to the European love in? First the German’s deny us the solo star cab on the mp4 Actros & now this injustice, Sacre Blu!

This is correct… The decision to not make the bigger cabbed model available in RHD was based on the number of Magnums sold new in the UK during the last year… The figure was something like 55, of which approximately 30 were sold to the Race Teams. This made it a non viable option to switch the track to RHD production…Of course, should the demand for the RHD be high enough, Renault will reconsider…

This actually made me laugh so much, my kids thinks I’m nuts

but no, they dont

The new Renaults are going to surprise alot of people, and for the better…

You wouldn’t say that if you’d had to drive the heap of ugliness every day …

So Kate can we assume you either work for Renault Trucks or where driving one of the pre production trucks or you are really a sad Renault Trucks anorak and we’ll see you Renault spotting on a motorway flyover.

Aparantly we have one of the demonstrators coming for a week next month, and I will have the pleasure/displeasure of driving it, I would like another truck with ishift but I dont want a volvo, I cant knock the driveline in the magnum I have at the moment, its probably the best out there, I am also impressed with the ride quality of the magnum regardless of how it looks, looks aren’t everything.
The last truck I drove which just about matches it for ride and driveline was a R reg 144 topline, god know what scania was thinking when they “improved” everything!!

lol… I had one of the pre production trucks, the black RHD version

Thing is people didn’t buy the Magnum because let’s face it, it was a bit ‘odd’ I’m sure it’s a great truck but I for one wouldn’t fancy dragging my arse up that ladder at the end of a 15.

I personally think Renault have made a mistake not making the largest cab available.

Two liveried examples of each cab version

George H Kime at Wrangle, near Boston, put five on the road over this weekend. Another batch has gone on the road with Robsons of Spalding. They seem to be on hire from BRS.
