Commonly known as a reefer used by ASDA and B&Q
aye they do rog havent seen one in around 10 years or so an old employer had a couple for the veg out of howegarden and they were still on the road around 10year ago
stobarts had one in the yard at corby for a while, i was told we were going to have a load of them but theyve never appeared.
wish they would, having to tip 26 pallets of orange juice out the back of a fridge with a pump trucks,is
no fun
Yep they have heavy insulated curtains as well, usually for fruit and veg.
A couple of hauilers in ireland run them aswell, not very popular tho.
Used to have on the Fruit, when I was with A Wood and sons at Detling (Kent) Doubled layered curtain with something like bubble wrap between the layers, they were called Insuliners, popular at the time, esp for the fruit markets as easier to unload from the side, but proper fridges have since taken over esp with the advent of loading bays etc and rear door loading/unloading, now pretty much being the norm…

I hate to disagree with you but ASDA don’t have any. We only use solid wall fridges.
Insuliner curtains were heavy as hell to pull back and forth and wouldn’t pull right up to the end of the trailer.
They were so thick that they just wouldn’t fold like normal curtains.
sainsbury’s at hoddesdon had some, worst thing i found was when droppin and pickin them up the fronts uses to dip down with the weight as there’s no strength in a curtainsider.
