NEW MR VAIN?

funny that aint it as a lot of people out there dont even know how to clean the spinners out or for that matter dont know they are fitted!! yes a fair few fitters !!!,

Scania Bristol at Avonmouth has gone very quiet at the moment. I was told the other day they have CLOSED their night time service dept Mon to Fri. Dont know if it was just for Xmas if not then the bite is hitting hard for service too

MR VAIN:
Or this?

or this?

first one, not enough wheels, the second one, does that look a little strange?

looks like the wheelbase has been stretched

and the T cab has not got enough wheels either

that’s without even considering if they are actually for sale or not

i’d like to get my self a r470 topline nxt year if the works stays busy… would love a v8 but think there over priced and always have big miles :stuck_out_tongue:

i thaid your next truck was gonna have a mini midlift mr.v.?

here’s one worth looking at

roadtransport.com/Classified … -r480.html

probably not quite red enough though

can’t get the pic to work atm, back in a mo !!!

or you could have a cheaper and newer Monsieur Vain

 :sunglasses: :sunglasses:

the 480 will need remapping aswell to get anything like decent fuel returns

ALIX776 on jens lappy

Ive checked 08 plate R480 Toplines that run fully loaded fridges returning 10MPG.

Thats what i’d like to do Dad. It really does depend on the initial cost of the unit. I’m not in too much of a hurry but i am lookin for a good deal.

A fully specced 4 series silverline/classic is what i would like ideally.

Very weary of the 470’s. That was what i wanted when i bought this one but was warned off by a salesman. A mate of mine bought a 470 almost a year newer than mine, paid 8k more for the privilage and its nearly broken him.

I’ve not heard great things about the R480 either. Maybe the V8 is the way forward■■?

16 LITRE, 480 OR 580? Heard good stuff about the 14 litres but they’re gonna be too old now.

thats the only thing about mine mr vain cant get l e z 4 it but to be honest it doesnt bother me not going i rather like it but it just depends wether you need 2 or not!

sounds like you will be getting a misters 8 :sunglasses: rob reading between the lines  on this thread “lol”

But thats because it’s the 14litre?? I do a lot into London.

its up the wall if u ask me you can get a lez with a 144 460 but not a 144 530!

this is what u want mr v its got twin stacks and alloys to start the ball rolling

ooww thats a nice lookin ride, its got that “last of a breed” like a late 143 :sunglasses:

agree totally tappy :sunglasses:

although its not a v8 and i’m cautious about turbo compound i’m a huge fan of a tag so this is defo in the running if it was my choice,
being a 480 its got EGR so its euro4 so cheeper tax?? and opticruise to boot is a plus from me. :smiling_imp:
